Operating Systems are the interface which connect us to the computer's hardware. It gives us an easy to use graphical interface to get our work done and it also beautifully hides all the 1's and 0's. The Internet sure has made things easier for mankind but with more innovations comes more complexity and what we have to wait to see is how Web 2.0 applications stand the test of time. I am keeping my fingers crossed since I am a big fan of web apps as it just makes it easier for us to go about doing our tasks.
